Edging Toward October's End

Little boy blue was under a haystack, fast asleep.

 Remember that nursery rhyme?

However, the little boy blowing the horn in our now abandoned front yard round flower garden is still sitting at attention.

He's blowing his horn, perhaps signaling the end of one season and then the beginning of another.

This brave little red flower is sticking its sweet petals up from the leaves to the sky.

If I were  a flower, I'd like to be like her-----triumphant until the bitter end!

Can you stand some final fall foliage shots?

It's SO HARD to keep the camera in my purse when I look around and then up.

It's just so beautiful that I want to keep sharing the photos with you.

WHAT ARE SOME THOUGHTS YOU'D LIKE TO SHARE THESE FINAL FALL DAYS?

Love the little bugle boy statue. Must be time for him to move into the house to play his trumpet.

I never tire of seeing the fabulous fall colors against an azure sky. It is so uplifting. Almost seems I hear a trumpet sounding in my head proclaiming the beauty of Autumn in the Berkshires!

October will be ending soon, but the fall season continues until the first day of Winter, December 21st and so you see we can enjoy the quiet beauty that is November/early December for awhile yet. All living things need rest. The foliage and flowers of spring and summer will quietly die back and wait for that first pristine blanket of snow to cover them for a well deserved sleep. Enjoy.

I never get tired of the beauty of fall foliage shots. I am constantly pointing my camera up through the leaves towards the sky. The leaves are finally really changing here, so I am trying to enjoy every moment before winter takes them away. xo Laura

Beautiful Autumn pictures, Susan. The golds and oranges in the trees are so pretty. We are in full Autumn here in California, and I think we have a long way to go until winter sets in.

love,

Susan,
Thank you, thank you, for these beautiful, stunning, inspirational and magnificent Fall photos!!
We don't have Fall in North Texas just sad brown leaves that fall to the ground.
You made my day!
Hugs,
Jemma
