Digging Dinos

There's nothing like playing with a few dinosaurs to whittle some time away on a hot afternoon.

One of any community's  best resources for families is the local library.

In one library in western Massachusetts, dinosaurs delight kids of all ages.

There are plastic toys kids love to play with, too, and, of course, hundreds of wonderful children's books.

Many of the library's extras are purchased by Friends of the Library, a group of dedicated volunteers who raise funds.

Libraries are truly among the greatest gifts and benefits of a Democratic society!

I always tell librarians that if I ever win the lottery, my first charitable donation will be to the library.

In the meantime, when going to libraries in towns all over, I always come out feeling rich.

p.s. Did you notice my new header? My daughter taught me how to do it myself! Yippah!

WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT  PUBLIC LIBRARIES?

You know I don't go as much as you - but I still want to have libraries - and I am worried with all the electronics might go away someday - my grandson loves dinosaurs too - my younger one. lol I do like your new header - pink and white - very elegant.

The library is so important! Books to read, games to play and for children so much to learn.

Our library is top notch where I live. It is quite modern and I love it and the grounds around it. I don't go as often as I should but love going there. Congratulations on your new header. Very well done. Good for you. I hope you get to see other libraries wherever you go.

Well, how fun is that! Lots of ways to learn, but hands on is really the best.
