Polyphon, a Very Big Music Box

Have you ever heard of a polyphon?

The Vermont Country Store has one that was made in 1890 near the Austrian border of Switzerland.

There are huge hand-punched round discs in the bottom section that produce the sounds.

It's similar to a life-sized music box and is so pleasant to hear.

Isn't it fun to go places and see new things?

Such excursions add to the enjoyment of life.

DO YOU LIKE MUSIC BOXES?

I love music boxes and once went to a museum that held all kinds so I did see one of those polythons there. I have a very small collection of music boxes in my living room.
