After the arduous task of perusing the Vermont Country Store, a light lunch of salads is always in order. Bryant House Restaurant is located right next door to the famed country store so it's a hop, skip and a jump away.
Two friends and I visited both recently.
Two of us ordered salads and one ordered a veggie burger without the roll and sweet potato fries.
My salad (shown right below) consisted of apple and chicken slices, lettuce, walnuts and green and red grapes, with a maple dressing.
My friend's salad included blueberries, cucumbers, strawberries, cashews, lettuce, chicken and thin slices of brie cheese along with a piece of johnny cake and butter.
The prices are a tad high but the food is good and the location is convenient. Two pluses.
