Cherish Each Moment

In the vast scheme of things, loving those around us counts the most of everything.

Life really does go by very, very quickly.

Today, take a moment to hug a friend or loved one.

Forgive, with an open heart, anyone who has done you wrong.

End any estrangements with family members because having family is a gift straight from the Heavenly Father's hands.

How can there be peace in the world if there is no peace in the basic family unit?

This day before Thanksgiving, think for a moment of all you  have to be grateful for. The mental list will astound you.

The exquisite floral arrangement at the top of this post is the
work of a life-long friend, Patti.

She is immensely talented in floral arranging as well as interior decorating.

She is also among the most generous people I've ever known.

She hasn't had an easy road in life, either.

No one knows the agonies, disappointments, sorrows and struggles in another's heart until she has walked in that person's footsteps.

This day before the big Thanksgiving Day, I will be grateful for the priceless gifts of family, friends, children and their spouses, grandchildren and tomorrow's stuffing!

WHAT IS ONE THING YOU ARE IMMENSELY GRATEFUL FOR AT THIS MOMENT?

Such a good post! And so true, how can there be peace in the world when there's not peace within your family. It starts with US. Well, actually, it starts with God and his love to us...then us...then the world. Loved this post. One thing I'm immensely thankful for right now is a warm home, as the season is sliding into winter. Have a blessed Thanksgiving.

Wonderful post, Susan! I'm immensely grateful that all our family expects to be here this evening! We are having the traditional dinner tonight, as one daughter and her husband are due at work by midday tomorrow. I've been "cooking up a storm," and have tomorrow morning's breakfast even done!:-) Happy Thanksgiving to you!

What a heart-warming post & admonition. I have so much for which to be thankful--perhaps the one I'm most aware of today is the confidence I have that God is in control in spite of what I "feel"......

I'm so thankful for my personal copy of the Bible. For the promises of God and instructions for life at all stages and ages :)

Happy Thanksgiving, Susan.

It's nice to have reasonable health, many memories and maybe the prospect of many more.

Why have I come out as Anonymous, so I will try again to see if it happens twice.
