My Mummy used to make delicious pies.
Her raspberry and rhubarb were my favorites but apple was delicious, too.
She also made custard pie but that never thrilled my taste buds.
My own pie-making is done quite infrequently because, well, I don't really want to eat too much pie due to the calories it contains.
However, Thanksgiving is coming and there are sure to be pies on the menu at my niece's house.
Hub's fave is pecan.
At one of the last farmers markets this fall, I bought one for him and he was delighted.

My mom used to bake so many pies; apple, custard, prune, lemon meringue , strawberry rhubarb and on and on. All her pies were delicious. My favorite is apple, I guess. It's so hard to choose just one, isn't it? All the ones you mentioned sound great.
I will be making an apple pie using a recipe from the Red Lion Inn cookbook. I have been making if for several years now and everyone seems to love it. Including me!
Oh, I'm all about pie! Right now, I really do crave pumpkin pie. Generally speaking, my favorite is a good cherry pie. And there is a local restaurant that makes a to-die-for chocolate peanut butter pie. (See, I really AM all about pie.)

Every few years I want a good sour cream raisin pie!!!
Susan - you have to know I like pies - let's ask which pie I don't like - coconut! lol My favorite is pumpkin.
Love absolutely LOVE apple pie. I'm making pumpkin and pecan for Christmas this year so I won't eat it..ha ha ha.
I'd have to say that my all-time favorite pie is blueberry, Susan. But I LOVE pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving.
