One-winged Angel Comes Home to Roost...

Now that the weather has turned colder, yard sales will be fewer and far between.

However, a local Congregational Church had an indoor sale this weekend that sounded good.

Trust me, I've very discerning these days with what comes home with me.

At the church yard sale, two sweet little figurines made the cut at $2 each.

Love them both.

One is a little drumming angel that will look perfect on the kitchen nick knack shelves this Christmas season.

She's a one-winged angel, however, and I didn't notice that one of her wings was missing until we got home. Oh well.

The other is a darling little bunny girl, perfect for next Easter.

The hand crocheted trivet cover is very, very pretty.

I almost flipped when I saw it was just 50 cents, including the trivet!

Somebody put a lot of work into it.

A very pretty pullover sweater came home, too, and it cost a dollar.

So there you have it----one church yard sale, four items costing a total of $5.50, and lots of fun!

WHAT WAS YOUR LAST NEW FOUND TREASURE?

I love the trivet! Yes, a lot of work making it for sure. I love the colors. Hmmm, my last treasure that comes to mind because of Halloween is a lit up ghost that says Boo on it. I think I got it for 50 cents and it is old. I love the old vintage holiday items. It sits in my craft room glowing out into my back gardens. :) Kit

Susan, love all your finds at the yard sale. Those look like "snow babies." My sister collects them, they are darling. And that crocheted piece is so pretty. If you don't mind me asking, what is a trivet cover? Crocheted pieces are such treasures.

A blessed Sunday to you, Susan.

I love angels as you know - but I do think my angel works so hard - it might be the one with the broken wing! Lol - very symbolic.

Cute little knick-knacks, Susan.

My latest and greatest find was a brand new, with tags still on it fleece, zip up hoodie with fuzzy lining for $4.50. I think I'll wear that more than my winter coat. It is so warm. Went back the next week and found a white one. However, the weather is going to be 70's and 80s here for another week. But winter will arrive one day.
