Who, Indeed, Knows Where the Time Goes?

Some days, it's hard to know where the time goes.

We have so many things to accomplish, so many errands to run.

Before we know it, the day is done.

Worse yet, before we know it, life is done.

Yes, life goes by so quickly, doesn't it?

Sometimes I want to stop the years from flying by.

It's easy to want to re-live a few days when my kids were little, when their hugs and kisses were payment for being a stay-at-home-mom.

The kids are gone now and grand kids are here.

Where, indeed, did the time go?

We cannot stop the passage of time but we can enjoy each precious moment.

Judy Collins sang a most beautiful song that still pulls on my heart, all these years later.

It was titled, "Who Knows Where the Time Goes?"
It was such a beautiful song.

Enjoy today. Now. This moment. It's all we
have.

DO YOU SOMETIMES WONDER WHERE THE TIME GOES?

I wonder that every single day. If I could relive any day in time it would be when my boys were two years old. I love that age of innocence, discovery and curiosity, growing personality and pure love. Whenever my husband and I are out and I see tiny baby boy clothes that are so darn cute I get very nostalgic for the days when they weren't so many thousands and thousands of miles away. Last night we went with friends to see the movie Wonder, which was very good. There's a scene from Our Town in there and, of course, I cried when Emily started saying goodbye to everything in the world. These days, there's times when I literally want to just have a good cry for all that is happening in the world. Time and life are precious.

Oh Susan, I was just saying this. Time is going too fast. baby Alex is growing before our eyes, and I am feeling the effects of aging, myself. But I am blessed by every single day.

I did go listen to that song and I must say it was a bit sad. I guess I feel it too. I hate when kids move out of town - they don't realize how sad it is for the parent, but we have to accept it. Just when all the work is done and things get easier - they go away. Love, sandie

Oh life is so short so enjoy each day. I am old now and the grandma and I still remember my grandmas....I love reliving things through my grandsons though. I hope I last at least another ten years.....I never heard of that Judy Collins song. I'll have to check it out.

I am always amazed at how the days fly by. But I fill my days with so many wonderful things, that it is okay with me. I have told my girls, if I were to pass tomorrow, don't be too sad, because I lived such a wonderful life. And each new day, gives me more to marvel at. :) Kit
