Exquisite Manger Scene

Since "graduating" from shopping at yard sales to estate sales, some truly lovely items have come home.

Among them are the manger scene figures seen in this post.

I added the cherished angel.

They are quite exquisite, bedecked with beautiful outfits, and looking very elegant.

I found the set at a sale at Blantyre Castle in Lenox, Massachusetts.

Word has it the former owner used to give guests sets of these lovely figures.

Someone at the sale said the figures were made in the Philippines.

The set I bought now stands on the front hall table.

There is a white pine scented candle burning in front of them, a gift from a dear and faithful friend.

DO YOU HAVE MORE THAN ONE MANGER SCENE?

Isn't this the nativity set that you put out last year, it's beautiful? I love the color of all their robes. And the gold angel is sweet. The candle adds a special touch, and is so pretty. Yes, I have a beautiful nativity set. It's a rather large one....very unique with jewels.

I have three nativity scenes in my living room. One is hand carved from wood and one lights up and one is made from a ceramic base. They are all unique and beautiful. The true meaning of Christmas.

Yes we have had many manger scenes but only put out one this year. That manger scene had a lot of detail on it. You know I think they made things better years ago then now. What about you?

We have an old set with painted chalk figures and a glass angel who figurine. When Liam's mommy was his age she had a fit because the glass angel was BALD!
Merry Christmas.
