An "Oasis of Elegance"...

The Meadow Club of Long Island bills itself as an "oasis of elegance."

It definitely lived up to its name on Easter Sunday.

We went there with very dear friends, one of whom celebrated her birthday on Easter weekend!

We went to the Meadow Club for a sumptuous brunch on Easter Sunday, the day after the birthday bash.

Wowsers. What a weekend of celebration it turned out to be.

The all white baby grand piano with sparkling "rhinestone" vases on top was really quite stunning.

The big front lounge with fireplace and mirror was gorgeous, too.

There were so many food stations that, truly, it was almost impossible to visit all of them!

There was everything from freshly made omelettes, fat shrimp with cocktail sauce, breakfast sausages and bacon, mouthwatering tender flank steak slices, crunchy vegetables, yummy mimosas to drink, and on and on into culinary heaven.

Traveling to Long Island for Easter was definitely a new experience for us.

Usually, I'm home cooking Easter dinner, so the change of scene was a true delight!

DO YOU LIKE TO GO OUT TO DINNER ON HOLIDAYS OR DO YOU PREFER TO STAY AT HOME?

The meadow Club was amazing, but spending and sharing this day with our dear friends Susan and Ramiro was exquisite.

That truly was elegant - I love it - I bet the food was wonderful there too.

I think I would rather go out to tell you the truth.

The place looked wonderful and the food stations sounded very yummy. I prefer to eat Easter dinner and all holiday dinners at home with family members.
