Time for "Lobstah"

One of the most picturesque places imaginable is Rockport, Massachusetts.

We traveled there this summer and snippets of the trip will be shared in coming days with you, beloved blog peeps, for your enjoyment.

In the summer, scores of boats bob in the water in Rockport.

Yellow cage-like traps await lobster-men who, at the end of  days out on boats, will bring back live lobsters, to be cooked and served in various ways in local restaurants.

For instance, some tourists will crack and eat them dripping with butter, mixed with mayonnaise in buttered rolls,  or served in "lazy man" casseroles, topped with buttered breadcrumbs.

Lobster meat is sweet and luscious.

DO YOU LIKE LOBSTER? HOW DO YOU LIKE IT SERVED?

Yes, I love lobster, especially dipped in butter. I'm not much of a fish person, but I will eat lobster and crab. What a lovely trip you had to Rockport, Susan.

The scenery there is awesome - I have never been there. I probably never will. :(

I have never had a lobster either.

Think I am missing some things - don't you?

It is so beautiful there! I lived in Cape Cod for several years in the 70's and had my first lobster and it was amazing. I like it boiled with butter to dip it in.
