About four years ago, it was a real pleasure to join a book club.
The members are all nice women with varied backgrounds.
We have the love of books as our common thread.
Every year, we plan a Christmas luncheon and exchange small gifts.
This year, it was at a newly remodeled restaurant that overlooks a beautiful, frozen lake.
The luncheon was a gift of Christmas.
I had a cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, shaved pickles, and chips. (The sliced onions got left on the plate.)
While the food was good, the vistas outside the windows were even better.
