Here Comes the "Bridal" Wreath

This is an old house and opening the infrequently raised upper windows is often difficult.

They tend to be jammed to the hilt.

However, after having luck with one of the "sticklers,"  we were able to sleep with the screened window open.

It was heavenly.

The following morning, I awoke to a sweet and lovely fragrance and wondered where it was coming from.

Looking out the window and down below, the bridal wreath spirea shrub was covered with thousands upon thousands of white flowers.

It must have bloomed overnight.

What a luxurious way to start the day.

The blooms on this beauty are short-lived, which makes its appearance even more glorious.

ARE YOU FAMILIAR WITH THE SHRUB BRIDAL WREATH SPIREA?

I do not have Bridal Wreath in my yard but I do have lovely white Jazmine bushes both in the front and back yard and they smell heavenly too. Glad you have a gorgeous bush like that to wake up to for a short time anyway.

The Bridal Wreath is beautiful. What a lovely sight to see the shrub when looking out your window, Susan. Old houses are charming, but there's always something that needs to be fixed. I'm living in an old house now, but it's clean with new fixtures and paint, so I'm fortunate to call it home.

Have a peaceful weekend, Susan.
