Energy Needed

As one gets a little older, energy can seem to wane.

Naturally, going to sleep too late can sap it.

However, after about six hours, the body's natural alarm clock goes off, whether one wants it to or not.

Vitamins are important as well as exercise.

Still, energy often lags.

WHAT DO YOU DO THAT GIVES YOU ENERGY?

Boy, Susan, I wish I had a cure for both of us. It's after midnight and I can't sleep. I have thyroid issues, which doesn't help. In the past, going to bed at the same time and getting up at the same time seemed to work. Turning off the tv and computer is always good. My husband and son went on a fishing in northern Canada a few years ago. They were in the middle of nowhere with no electricity. My son, who always struggled with insomnia slept like a baby the whole week. We think it was because there wasn't any electricity. I wish you luck. I also have problems sleeping the week before a full moon. Have you heard any thing about that?

Caffeine helps to boost energy and a little chocolate in the late afternoon. Ha ha. Also I take vitamins and exercise an hour each morning at the rec center pool. I am getting older though and my energy lags when I have chores to do. I have to take them a little at a time and rest inbetween.

I find if I go to bed around 11 and get up at 8 I do the best. That is 9 hours - seems like a lot! But I need it. Then one cup of coffee!

I drink coffee! Works like a charm. 😊 Kit

Having something to look forward to, even a trip to Goodwill, energizes me.

Ooooo, that's a pretty bottle. Sometimes life zaps all the energy from us. When that happens, I pray for strength, and shortly after, my energy has returned. Our physical energy is going to deplete as we age, but thinking good thoughts will revitalize us along the way and help with our emotional energy. : )
