A Special Day for Fathers

Father's Day comes once a year.

It's a great day to honor fathers everywhere.

The job of fathers, however, doesn't last just one day.

It's 365 days a year for many, many years and then, for the rest of one's life.

It's no easy task being a Daddy. Actually, it is hard work.

But oh, the rewards are truly great.

Who can put a price tag on little arms around the neck?

Or warm kisses against a cheek?

Or a little person snuggling in one's arms, feeling safe and loved?

May fathers everywhere know how important they are to their children and to God, who put them in charge.

For fathers who have lost children through death,  know they are waiting for you in the other realm of life until the day comes when they are in your arms once again.

WHAT IS ONE THING YOUR FATHER TAUGHT YOU? CAN YOU SHARE?

My Dad taught me faith and he loved all of us girls very much. He told us many stories before bedtime when we were small. He loved to sing songs like On the Bayou and Old Black Joe. Rest in peace Daddy.
