Time for the Parade!

There's nothing like a good old-fashioned parade to lift up the spirit.

In a fairly small New England city, in western Massachusetts, a Fourth of July  parade drew hundreds of spectators.

This particular parade has been going on annually for many decades.

Little kids who saw it in past years, today bring their own children and even grandchildren to it!

We'll share more of the parade in photos as well, for your enjoyment,  in the next Writing Straight from the Heart post.

DO YOU ENJOY PARADES? IF YES, WHAT IS THE BEST PART OF A PARADE FOR YOU?

Ah you are so right about a wonderful parade. My favorite part is just being with others and enjoying it - especially the children who are so excited to be there. Take care and have a great start to your July.

I love a good old fashioned parade. It has been a few years since I attended one. To me a parade isn't a parade without lots and lots of music. The more marching bands the better!

Oh wow!! What a great parade this is! Our little town has an annual parade in October, but NOTHING like this one. There is so much enjoyment in watching parades and just gathering with friends. This parade is a true celebration. Thanks for sharing these pictures...Love them!

What a fun parade. I really liked the carriage! And that yellow bug all decked out in red, white, and blue is delightful. Those are classic cars for sure. Brian still has his. So glad you enjoyed yourself at this festive parade, Susan.

I love to watch the Rose parade here in California. It has gorgeous float and bands from all over the USA.
