We live in a part of Massachusetts that is very cold in the winter.
The face-freezing weather rarely bothers me.
It's invigorating.
At Christmas time, I love it when hubs drags out the white lights and deer decorations for the lawn.
Some people prefer multi-colored light displays which truly can be beautiful.
However, I prefer all white lights.
There's a welcome lantern out on the front porch and a jolly Santa figure on an outside chair.
Somehow, as the outside white lights shine on newly fallen snow, they create a calm and peaceful scene.
