Caramel Trifle

One of the yummiest (and easiest) desserts to make is caramel trifle.

On Thanksgiving Day this year, I made one and brought it to my niece's house.

Everyone seemed to love it.

A couple of days before the party, I made a pound cake.

On turkey day, I simply broke the pound cake into pieces and layered them with vanilla pudding,  a thick caramel sauce (Mrs. Richardson's brand is top notch and it's available in some New England supermarkets), and heavy whipped cream to which vanilla and a tad of sugar had been added.

You don't need too much sugar in the cream because the caramel sauce and pound cake are sweet enough.

I like to drizzle  little caramel over the top of this dessert which is also, well, over the top.

Get it out of your house as quickly as possible.

Give it to people who are hosting a party, to the paper boy, to Santa, to anyone!

If you have it around, it'll scream your name until you grab a spoon and dig in and that's not very holiday-like,  is it?

Yum yum yum

HAVE YOU MADE TRIFLE?
