Trees at Sunset

Have you ever stopped to think how incredible the sky is at sunset?

The other night, while driving home, the entire sky was the color of a ripe peach.

Tree branches, still winter bare, were silhouetted against the pastel  backdrop.

Just being able to see it was an immense gift.

So often we take such gifts for granted.

Even sadness over some life events vanished when looking at that gift of the peachy apricot colored heavens at dusk.

I wish you peace and great abundance today and in the nights and days ahead.

DO YOU TAKE TIME TO ENJOY SUNSETS?

The sunsets over the PACIFIC ocean are incredible. I do take time to view them whenever I can. I am so grateful for good sight and hearing and all my senses!

To much rain here lately to see sunrise or sunset. Waiting for those days to return...have a good Sunday.

Our home is situated on the western shore of a beautiful lake in Massachusetts and so in the 30 years we have lived here, we have been privileged to see many exquisite sunsets. In all seasons, watching the sunset over the water has been a wonderful gift. Just as enchanting has been seeing the moon set over the mountains, making a silvery path across the shimmering ice in winter or the rippling water in summer. We take the gift of sight for granted, but what a gift it is!

Oh, Susan, yes I do. I am lucky enough to have windows to the west and can enjoy sunsets even in the dead of winter. In the summer I love sitting on my deck and reading book while waiting for the sun to come down. Life's simple pleasures. :)

Oh Susan that was so beautiful - I think when we move we might be able to see the sunsets better - from our house it is hard to see them because of all the trees!

The sunset must have been wonderful with the colors of peach, Susan. I appreciate sunsets, but I see the sunrises more. I'm a morning person, and when I'm sipping on my morning coffee and watching the sunrise, it's a wondrous sight.

A peaceful Sunday to you, dear.

What a lovely post-and reminder for all! I've actually tried (lately) to check out one or two sunsets myself, and I always go inside feeling more relaxed and refreshed!!
