Nutcracker Cupcakes

When the kids were little, we had a tradition to take them to the Nutcracker when Christmas rolled around.

The famous ballet never failed to plunge us into the magical world of dreamy ballerinas, dancing rats, a splendorous Christmas tree that grew almost to the stage ceiling, and on and on.

Memories of the many performances of the Nutcracker remain in our minds and hearts forever.

Last year, during an after Christmas sale, a box of cupcake decorations depicting characters from the Nutcracker caught my eye.

It got tucked into a storage bin and was re-discovered this year when taking out decorations.

The three east coast grands loved decorating chocolate cupcakes with chocolate frosting that Grammie made.

HAVE YOU SEEN A PRODUCTION OF THE NUTCRACKER?  IF YES, WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE PART?

Oh I bet they loved making those cupcakes. I've seen the Nutcracker ballet many times in my life. I love the score by Tchaikovsky. My favorite song is the Russian Dance.

Your Nutcracker cupcake toppers are the cutest. And I have see the old-fashioned production of the Nutcracker many times over the years. Haven't been for a long time, but it was always a holiday favourite. Loved the music and the dance and magic of it all.

When my oldest granddaughter was eight and taking ballet lessons, I took her to see The Nutcracker. Quite an experience. These cupcake picks are a delight.
