When it comes to projects around the house and yard, it's trial and error whether something works or not.
A few years ago, after reading an article on turning bowling balls into art, I hunted thrift shops in search of old bowling balls.
A few were found.
They were covered with those round pieces of colored glass which took a long time and tons of patience.
Regarding of what was used to stick them on, many of them fell off, one by one.
It was frustrating so eventually the project was considered a bust and abandoned.
But one bowling ball painted as a happy face remained.
It's been decorating the yard near the bird bath every spring since then and it never fails to bring smiles.
WHAT ARE SOME THINGS YOU HAVE OUTSIDE YOUR LIVING SPACE TO MAKE YOU SMILE?

The bowling ball definitely brings a smile to my face. My neighbor has a metal rooster on his fence gate that makes me smile. I hope you have a nice weekend, Mildred
I have a friend who has fake turtles in her yard all over the place. They look so real and they bring a smile to my face whenever I see her yard. I don't think I've ever seen a bowling ball in a yard before...very funny.
Oh, that's a cute bowling ball, Susan. What a delight it would be to see that every day in your yard. You find the best things at the thrift stores. Your smiley face bowling ball came at the perfect time.....tomorrow is my birthday! Thank you, dear Susan, for your beautiful friendship.

Now that IS a cute idea! I went to a yard sale this mirning and bought a life size mama rabbit laying down and a baby. I placed them in my fake flower garden. Tricked Bill. Anxious to see what the grass cutters do.
