New Week, New Year, New Life

It's already page 3 on the 2022 calendar.

There's a lot to do this new week of life.

Many Christmas decorations must come down and be either put into the charity pile or be packed away.

Every single room in the house needs to be cleaned, vacuumed, and so on.

Bills need to be paid.

 Clutter needs to be addressed.

The papers pile is exploding.

All of it, yes, all of it will get done but leisurely.

No sense to hurry, hurry, hurry.

The de-cluttering process works best if it's done one drawer or cabinet, or one corner at a time.

Wishing you peace and contentment on this first Monday in January, 2022.

I just do one task at a time. No priority at all. Whatever I feel up to doing I do. That's life in my old age.

Oh, these pink roses are so pretty, Susan, and perfect for the new year. The week after Christmas was organizing, cleaning, and clearing things out. And I paid bills yesterday! I wanted to get a jump on the new year, and that was a good week to do it all for me. I noticed your table runner has a little blue in it. It looks so pretty with the pink roses.

I hope the first week of the new year makes you happy, Susan.

ps.....your Header of pink roses, the HOPE pot, and words of love are just right for the new year. I've been thinking of Valentine's Day already. ; )

I think I've realized that nothing ever goes to plan so it's better to take the slow and steady route. One small task at a time. Let go and flow. Happy new year.

About the only thing I prioritize is having breakfast first thing! LOL Retirement has brought a change of pace to many of those priorities of the past. The pandemic has also brought along a slowing/limiting of our time rushing about out in the world. As I post this comment, it is Epiphany, the customary day for us to clear away signs of Christmas. I began with fresh resolve earlier, became distracted, and now find it difficult to resume the earlier tasks. They will wait until another day.
