New Week, New Goals and Hopes

There's something very exciting about beginning a new week.

First of all, it's great to still be alive!

Every day we get, especially when we are on the tail end of life, is a gift.

Writing down goals for the week is always a good thing to do.

Then, it's fun to see how many were accomplished.

Keeping a positive attitude is paramount to me, especially in hot, humid weather.

Hot summer days when the humidity is 100 percent are extremely unappealing to me.

Guess one could say being a "cold weather girl" is fine with me.

Luckily, summer goes by very quickly around here and before we know it, pumpkins will be filling roadside stands.

In the meantime, many goals and dreams are listed and today is a great day to start them on their way to becoming reality.

WHAT IS ONE GOAL YOU HAVE FOR THIS WEEK?

New Week, New Year, New Life

It's already page 3 on the 2022 calendar.

There's a lot to do this new week of life.

Many Christmas decorations must come down and be either put into the charity pile or be packed away.

Every single room in the house needs to be cleaned, vacuumed, and so on.

Bills need to be paid.

 Clutter needs to be addressed.

The papers pile is exploding.

All of it, yes, all of it will get done but leisurely.

No sense to hurry, hurry, hurry.

The de-cluttering process works best if it's done one drawer or cabinet, or one corner at a time.

Wishing you peace and contentment on this first Monday in January, 2022.

New Day, New Week, New Month

Today is a new day in a brand new week and month!

Taking down Halloween decor will be among the many chores to be completed.

The air feels a bit nippy but at least it's not raining.

Here is hoping that your day will be blessed and fulfilling.

Thank you so much for reading this blog!

WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO ACCOMPLISH THIS WEEK?

New Week, New Thoughts, New Outcomes

The morning sky looked light grey in color with no visible sun.

But the birdies were singing and the new day held promise.

The desire to tackle some stubborn items on the always present "to do" list burned strongly.

It feels so good to draw a thick, black line through an item that has been hanging around for awhile, doesn't it?

Some "need to do" chores have stubbornly stayed put for weeks but now it's time to get them done and happily do the cross-through.

Completed a couple of hangers-on this morning and it really buoyed the spirit.

It proves that new thinking can have new outcomes.

"Yes, I can do this today," or "This won't take long to accomplish" or
"There. It's done," all help make the tasks lighter.

WHAT DO YOU THINK IS BEHIND PROCRASTINATING?

New Day, New Week, Old Virus

The sun is shining!

The temps are warmer!

It's a new day!

It's a new week!

It's still the same old virus, causing havoc in our world.

Don't you just wish it would go AWAY? That things would be back to normal?

If they were, I'd go grocery shopping today and maybe stop in a thrift store to browse around.

Or maybe I would go and buy some little gifties for the grands for Easter.

Well, wishful thinking isn't going to make any of those things happen so instead, I'll be grateful for coffee, breakfast, and a new "to do" around the house list.

So grateful for a washing machine and drier to do clothes and for half-and-half to put in my morning coffee.

We've got to be thankful for little things, right?

Speaking of little things to be grateful for, the plants in my home office, where I spent a lot of time this past weekend, are doing great. They are shown in this post.

I love the blue bulb that provides water when I'm not in there.

WHAT ARE A COUPLE OF LITTLE THINGS YOU ARE THANKFUL FOR TODAY?

New Day, New Week, and Bye Bye Witches

The sun is shining brightly and the temps are chilly.

This is a new week.

All Halloween decor is ready to be hauled up to the attic to be packed away until next year.

The little ghosts, witchies, and scarecrows will be missed but replaced.

This is going to be a busy week around these parts with a house guest coming, a double birthday party, some child care, baking, cleaning (yuck), cooking, and continuing to tackle a very long fall "to do" list.

Below, you will see a photo of the gypsy who opened the door to this year's trick-or-treaters:
