SITTING PRETTY

Several years ago, a dear friend, Sharon, gave me an old white chair she no longer wanted.

It had the look of wrought iron but it was plastic, yet still quite lovely.

I loved it and thought it was quite attractive with its patterns and whirly decor.

Then, in years after that initial gift giving, at a yard sale, a white, wrought iron table with two chairs came into our lives.

That meant we now had a table with three chairs.

The one my dear friend gave started to get a little worn during its years of service.

Consequently, this year, it was transformed into a plant stand-of-sorts.

Three pots of pink and purple petunias, (each costing $4.99), became plants of the day.

So, so pretty, they landed smack dab in the middle of the shopping cart and now sit on the seat of the chair.

Don't be afraid to use objects found around the house for adornment outside.

Creating a bit of whimsy might be just what the doctor ordered, if anyone is so inclined.

DO YOU LIKE TO GET CREATIVE IN THE GARDEN OR BACKYARD?

Susan, the chair your friend gave you is charming, and looks nice with the pink and purple petunias sitting on it. That's a creative idea to add some color to the white chair. I like the design of the chair. I cleaned the front yard area yesterday, and I want to get a statue out there for the porch or a pot of flowers. Your yard ideas are always so inspirational.

Have a sweet day.
