Built-In Cabinets Are the Bomb

Built-in cabinets are very popular in old buildings.

The "new" apartment that I now call home has lots of built-ins.

After all, the building was constructed in the early 1800's!

It's so much fun to put pieces of collections on the shelves.

It brings a touch of the familiar amid the huge piles of unopened bags, boxes, and plastic bins that clutter the living room and bedroom.

Below is my favorite Old Country Roses teapot.

Opening each container is like Christmas.

At the moment, the silverware is still among the missing!

Anyway, just feast your eyes on some of the pretties that were not sold or given away.

WHAT IS SOMETHING FUN YOU PLAN TO DO THIS WEEKEND?

You will make your new surroundings very beautiful with all your saved collections. I am starting choir this weekend at church and have to get up very early again but I love to sing so that will fun for me. Also having a good friend over Sunday afternoon.

I love the built-in cabinets that are in the older homes. You don't see them anymore in the new houses that are built. They give such a charming feature for the house. Your Old Country Roses tea pot is gorgeous, Susan. And I like that girl in Pink too. I'm so glad you're having a good time putting out all your goodies and placing them where you want. That's the best part of unpacking. I may visit the Creek this weekend. Cooler weather is coming, and Fall is so pretty here.

Sounds like you found the right place for you and your collections. Old buildings have so much character compared to the square boxes being built today. Hope settling in is going well. Will email again soon. Take care.
