Enjoying color is part of some peoples' lives, including their decorating.
It all comes down to personal preference.
Around here, pops of color prevail.
Just this week, on a mini-excursion to a big box store, a couple of Pioneer Woman dinner plates, dessert plates, and cups came home.
Only two of each came but they have made dining, even at breakfast, more fun!

OK, I WANT THAT CUP AND DESSERT PLATE HAHA! That is the prettiest thing, Susan, and I love Pioneer Woman items. Since you got a set of two, you can use them when someone special comes over to visit. Oh, what a beauty they are. I have been wanting to get some of her items for the kitchen, but we are limited up here in the mountains, so I'll have to get something online. Enjoy your new cups, Susan. They really are pretty.

Very pretty cups and plates . I have all neutral decor in my home as then you can add anything you want to it.
