Pumpkins, Pumpkins, and More Pumpkins...

This is the time of year when pumpkins dominate.

There is pumpkin-everything in the supermarkets.

There are homes that pile dozens of different kinds of pumpkins and squash in their front yards to create artistic scenes.

There's also something very appealing about seeing a lighted pumpkin in a window at night.

The happy-faced ones, like the fella at the top of this post,  bring the most smiles.

Believe it or not, pumpkin soup is quite delicious.

If you've never tried it, maybe that's something daring you can think about doing.

If attending a farmers market this weekend is on your "to do" list, be sure to pick up some pumpkins, in all sizes, to add a touch of whimsy and fun to your place.

Then, of course, there's always pumpkin pie with real whipped cream on top that tickles the tastebuds. Yum!

That's one of the reasons I love this season so much, Susan, there are pumpkins all around. I like your three smiling pumpkins, so cute. It's so nice to see the front porches decorated with all those pumpkins and Mums and creative scenes. I've never had pumpkin soup before. I noticed your table cloth too, so pretty.

Have a sweet October day, dear Susan.
