Doilies Are Cool

In life, there are things we come to love and others that we dislike.

Despite "modern" interior decorating styles or the latest trends in how to fashion one's environment, we can still stick with what appeals to us.

For instance, I love doilies.

They are equated with an old-fashioned, grandmother-type of decor.

Who cares?

My own late maternal grandmother used to crochet gorgeous doilies, curtain edges, and all kinds of other things.

They were actually works of art.

In my little apartment, doilies are used and loved.

They are a far cry from millennial bareness trends.

Stick with what appeals to you and brings a smiles to your faces.

Around here, doilies rock!

I also have doilies in my house . I think they are very pretty. Mine are all cream or white. I have them on all my dressers.

I have dollies from both my mom and her mom - and quilts from my other grandma. They are truly treasures. Yours are gorgeous. Love that star!

I have several and I think they have a nice way of dressing up an area. Yours with the pink and red are so neat and pretty. Dollies are not something my daughters would use in their decor, but I love them and they remind me of my grandmother.

I've always loved doilies too, Susan, and I only have one small one that my grandmother crocheted. But it will stay with me always. That first doily with the red and white is very unique. Seems like so much time and care went into that one. It looks great for Valentine's Day too. I love the edges on your grandmother's doily. Such a treasure, Susan.
