Comfy Candles

One of the most pleasant parts of Christmas, 2025, was enjoying every evening,  the light of three candles by Luminara in the living room.

The candle wicks are dead ringers for real flames but they are not.

They got switched on as soon as I arrived home and were turned off at bed time.

Lights of all kinds are so important in decorating,  all through the year, not just at Christmas time.

I like to have several lights on in every direction in a room,  including corners.

It makes for a very nice atmosphere.

In a different context, human beings can serve as lights in the world, making it a better place.

We do this by being compassionate, helpful, non-judgmental, and understanding.

HOW ELSE CAN HUMANS BE LIGHTS IN THE WORLD?

Your three candles in the living room must be so pretty, Susan. I love candles and lights in the house too, and I still have white lights draping over the mantel. I can't seem to take them down. I will keep them up for the winter season, as it adds warmth to the house. You're right, lighting is important to live with. And I noticed the pretty placemat with the beaded lining that your lamp sits on. Thanks for being a light in my world as well, dear Susan.

Embracing our identity in Christ, not being afraid to share the gospel, being honest, and authentic as a bold witness and serving others by stepping out into the world - not just to our friends and family.
The lights are so pretty and much needed during these months of darkness.
Lovely post, Susan.

I have candles like yours too. I light them when guests come to dinner. Nice atmosphere! This little light of mine I’m gonna let it shine.

They can become politically active and protest foreign wars, the best ight possible. It cost a billion dollars to keep the military offshore Venezuela all this time while Americans have no healthcare. SMH
