Brownies for the Sweet Tooth

One of my sweet sisters makes the most luscious brownies.

They are moist, sweet, and filled with crunchy walnuts.

Luckily for all, she shared her "secret."  She substitutes olive for vegetable oil.

I've tested different boxed mixes and like Pillsbury the best. ( There is no affiliation with the company and no pay offs of any kind. I just like the taste and consistency of that brand the best.)

The day arrived when I tried the olive oil and walnuts and sure enough, they came out moist and chewy. They also made the house smell divine.

I quickly packed them into a plastic bag and laid them to rest in the freezer.

Otherwise, the pan they were in would look like this:

Now, drop in guests will get a tasty treat. In the meantime, I'll try my darndest to keep away from that freezer.

Sending this one to you, dear reader:

Oh, dear!
I am pinning this to my Pinterest category called: PMSing. Really. That's what it's called.
YUMMMMMM. I would eat the whole pan.

Dearest Susan,

What a great idea to substitute olive oil for vegetable oil. So you followed the Pillsbury directions from the package for recipe?
LOVE those and freezing them is indeed a smart idea. Thanks for sharing this!

Have a great weekend and lots of love from,

I know a certain SON of yours who'd devour these in a minute. Myself, I'm not into too many sweets. I read where you gain the MOST weight from potato that is my favorite food...and you can't freeze them for company either!

I LOVE brownies...but of course, I love just about every sweet treat around! Except...I don't care for nuts of any kind!! So, I would most likely be able to stay away from yours, dear Susan!..Unless they're big enough to pick out! :o
