Whirlwind Week Ahead

This past weekend went by in a flash.

It seems that the closer we get to the holidays, the faster time flies.

It's very important for me to go out onto the porch, look down at the rug, and practice its message:

This entire week is going to be a record-setter as far as things that need to be done are concerned. In the midst of all the hoopla and planning, I plan to Stop.

Sit.

 Relax.

Refresh.

Somehow, some way, everything will get done. There's no need to spazz out and get all twisted in a knot.

It will be good to just pretend I'm this little sailboat, out in the middle of this beautiful lake, gliding on by, without a care in the world.

The holidays are hectic but wonderful.  We can pace ourselves.

If something doesn't get done, oh wellllllllll.

Hope you have a great week.

WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU START TO FEEL OVERWHELMED?

I'm right there with you, Susan! When I get overwhelmed during the holidays, I try to sit and relax, turn on some Christmas music, have a cup of hot tea, or flavored coffee, etc. And just ENJOY the moment. You and I are so much alike!

I try to just take one day at a time. My procrastinating ways don't allow me to plan ahead for anything. :) I love your welcome mat. Best wishes to you, Tammy

I too try to take a moment and relax. Nice music, hot tea and maybe a book to take my mind off the 'to do list'.
hugs, Linda

I curl up with a good book in my favorite chair, put my feet up and let the cares of the world go by. I live in the moment!

I talk to a friend like you and they remind me to slow down too. that it is okay to be late. It will all work out. You are right though - the holidays are really a busy time. sandie

You send a good message. That is my motto, if it doesn't get done, we make do with what we have gotten done. When I get overwhelmed I retreat to be by myself for a bit and smooth my feathers. Kit
