Thrifted ---Vibrant Patterned Salad Bowl. Ole!

Today we are joining Thrifty Things Friday on Diann's blog, The Thrifty Groove and Show and Tell Friday on Cindy's blog, My Romantic Home. We're also joining Follow Me Fridays.

Click on all of the above blogs and get ready to see some wonderful posts.

One day this week we took an excursion to a favorite thrift store, Savers, in West Springfield, a city in Western Massachusetts.

Savers is a supermarket-sized thrift store, the proceeds of which benefit Big Brothers/Big Sisters.

Wouldn't all thrifty shoppers just love to go there?

Whenever the opportunity comes to go to Saver's, I jump at it because there are almost always terrific things to be found. Many are top quality.

There have even been times when  items had original store price tags on them. Isn't that just amazing?

As I pushed a cart up and down the aisles of the housewares section of the store, my eyes zoomed in on an absolutely sizzling patterned bowl.

This is the kind of bowl that would make any salad look fabulous!

Picking this beauty up, I turned it over. It said "Tabletops Unlimited." It was part of Espana (Spain) dinnerware, in La Barca (boat ) pattern.

It still had a Macy's sticker on the bottom, too.

The design around the bowls edges is just bursting with many colors.

Another dazzling design can be found inside the bowl. You can see it below.

The price was $12.99.

That's a LOT more than what I'd usually pay for a thrift store item, other than furniture, but this intricately patterned bowl really appealed.

I'd be willing to bet this bowl in Macy's would cost a LOT more, don't you think?

So it came home with me. It will not be joining other items on my eBay site because this little beauty is all mine. OLE!

DO YOU LIKE PATTERNED DINNERWARE OR DO YOU PREFER PLAIN?

I don't blame you for getting the beautifully decorated bowl even if you had to spend a little more money. I like the best deal possible but it doesn't feel so bad if I am shopping at a place where I know my money will help someone. That happened to me recently when I just had to have some silver plated flatware and paid a lot more than is my usual amount for a shop like that. If looking at the bowl makes you happy then don't worry about the price. That's what I tell myself, anyway. Heehee.-----Shannon
