Garden Touches

At this time of year, gardeners are itching to get into the dirt.

Even though spring is just around the corner, it's not here yet.  In the northeast, we can definitely still get whammied with a few more snowstorms.

So what are flower-lovers to do?  The answer is simple----add garden touches to your house.

This can't-kill-it plant brightens up a kitchen windowsill with a touch of green.

I like to find the brightest flowers available, like the pink ones shown at the top of this post. Either living flowers or silk will do.

The instant I saw this needlepoint pillow in a thrift store,  covered with charming flowers, I knew it would look great in our living room. It's a touch of spring year-round.

You can add china with  garden flowers to your decor, too. Isn't this a pretty little plate?

This basket of flowers from England is ceramic, but still springy!

Here are some hydrangea in pink and blue. The silver vase with thick rope trim was another thrift store find.

Here's a sweet little crocheted holder, filled with perky pinks for spring.

See? Even though, technically it's still winter, touches of spring are bursting out all over!

Today we are joining the Home and Garden party on Kathy's blog, A Delightsome Life.

Don't we have fun?

WHAT SPRING TOUCHES HAVE YOU ADDED TO YOUR HOME OR APARTMENT SO FAR?

Hello Susan,
We're entering Autumn here in Australia and I've got some lovely silk flowers spread throughout the house. My two window boxes have some polyanthus plants growing in them...so pretty.
I enjoy your blog. Have a good week

Love all those spring dashes of pink! Spring is definitely coming. There is a bit of pink on the tulip trees here and of course lots of yellow jonquils about!

What lovely glimpses of beauty. Loved that needlepoint pillow!!

We've still got snow here, but I did see daffodils in the store, so I'll be bringing a bunch or two home to liven up my dining table.

Enjoyed my visit..........

Beautiful decorations, Susan. I love the china with roses. It's those little things that does the trick to make things a bit brighter. The only thing I've done so far is to decorate my bedroom window with the sailboat, lighthouse and some sea shells and stones to make it a bit summery and give that sea feeling :)
Have a lovely day my friend!

Well, I am just behind on everything this year....I guess the only thing I can say is I bought a pink teacup today....does that count! I'll be out of town next week, but the week after, I plan to clean and decorate for spring.
Lovely pix!

Though I don't often follow through with "real" flowers, last week I did buy two yellow tulip plants. A few were open; a couple yet to do so.

At 2 for $10, I used them in place of birthday cards. (I should have bought a couple for myself!)

That pink one in your first picture is strikingly beautiful. And I would not have been able to pass up the needlepoint pillow if I'd seen it ANYwhere!
