Blue Plate Special

A dear friend gifted me with some cobalt blue plates she no longer used.

So do I use them for food?

Well, I use a couple of them for serving meals.

The other ones I put on our kitchen windowsills with some other cobalt pieces.

I love the way the light shines through them.

It's not like looking through rose-colored glasses but looking through cobalt blue pieces is nice, too.

So the new cobalt blue windowsill decor gives a different connotation to the old saying, "I'm so blue."

WHAT COLOR IS YOUR KITCHEN?

I have aqua bottles, and ball canning jars on my window sills.
Enjoy!

I love all your beautiful cobalt! Right now in my dining room I've got lighter blue in the window. All my Blue Birds of Happiness and some vases! Makes me very happy! hugs, Linda

I love a strawberry theme in my kitchen, and colors range from red to mauve to pink. The walls are white, though, and I don't have a window over the sink to give a shelf for displays. I like the way your blue looks in your windows.

I absolutely love the cobalt blue glass work.

I have a small kitchen. It is in white and brick red with shades of olive green.

Both sisters and my daughter have cobalt blue in their collections. My kitchen is blue too but I do not own any blue plate specials...yours are pretty Susan.

Susan I think that is gorgoeus the way you have the light shining through those blue plates. Very classic.

My kitchen base is beige and my accessories are like a sea foam green.

Love,
sandie

Susan, these are gorgeous! I love the rich color. The windowsill is the perfect spot for them. My sister gave me a cobalt blue pitcher years ago, and yes, I placed it on the kitchen windowsill. It always makes me smile. Thanks for sharing!
Blessings,
Karen

I LOVE these. They are really beautiful. I can just imagine how stunning these look in that window. Wow.

I have red and yellow in my kitchen. They are my two favorite colors. I love how the kitchen cheers me up.
