Green Peppers = STUFFED Peppers, Oh Yeah

Today I am so grateful to a dear friend for giving me fresh vegetables.

This is the most abundant time of year.

The harvest is here and farm stands as well as supermarkets are filled with the freshest of veggies.

A dear friend who keeps a garden, stopped by with bags filled with offerings.

Fat, juicy red tomatoes and sweet-as-candy little ones; long yellow squash, onions, and deep green peppers were all there.

Now I can only imagine how much work it is to keep a garden so I deeply appreciated the offerings.

Every year she says it's "the last" that she's going to grow a garden but every spring she's at it again. Hope she doesn't stop.

Naturally, the green peppers made delicious stuffed peppers.  Mmm mmm mmm.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE VEGETABLE AND HOW DO YOU COOK IT?

Your stuffed peppers look pretty yummy. I love yellow squash steamed with onions and butter or in a casserole. But favorite is hard to say! Hugs, Linda

The garden bounty looks great. I like stuffed green peppers too. I don't think I have a favourite vegetable unless it is potatoes which can be cooked in so many ways. I also love butternut squash. But my favourite uncooked veggies are english cukes and cherry or grape tomatoes.

One of the many joys of gardening is the chance to share it with others....who appreciate it!

Green beans or yellow beans straight from the garden, boiled for a little bit and then fried in butter...oh my I'm getting hungry. Try Trader Joe's stuffed peppers with turkey sometime..they are delicious!

Stuffed peppers were a must in summer at my house growing up. Is that cheese on yours? What kind of cheese...never saw that before...something new!

Oh yummy --- everything looks so good! My favorite vegetable? It's hard to choose, but this month I will choose Romaine, tomatoes, and fresh cucumbers.

What a bounty!

Saw your smiling face in a friends sidebar and thought I'd stop by.

My favorite vegetable is hungarian peppers stuffed with and grilled on the bbq.

Yum.

Peppers, red or green are one of my favorites, but honestly there isn't a vegetable I don't like. This dish looks wonderful and reminds me of the ones my mother made. Yum! XOXO

Our favourite vegie is stuffed tomatoes, you cut out the centre of the tomato and pulp the tomato with breadcrumbs grated cheese dried herbs and any fresh herbs you fancy and chopped onions and stuff it all back into the tomato shell and bake for about 15mins in the oven with the roast meat and potatoes.

What wonderful vegetables! You have a very special friend!

My favorite vegetable? Oh, my! I like so many; however, currently we are enjoying okra from the garden, and we prefer it "fried.":) I understand that must be a Southern specialty.:)

Love the stuffed green peppers - do you boil them for awhile before you bake?

I made your bacon last night and everyone loved it.
