Dreams Come True in the Dollhouse
One advantage of loving miniatures and dollhouses is that they help dreams come true.
For years now, whatever I was unable to have in my "big" house, could come to pass in one of my dollhouses!
Canopy bed? "No way," said hubs. So there's a lovely one in the dollhouse.
Tiffany lampshade?
Wayyyyyy too expensive for the "big" house, but there's one in the dollhouse bedroom!
For several years now, I've had my heart set on a four poster bed with great big tall posts that go almost up to the ceiling and in dark wood.
Prohibitively expensive for the big house? Oh yeah.
Well guess what? My heart did leaps when I found one----for the dollhouse!
Yippee!
WHAT IS SOMETHING YOU CANNOT HAVE FOR YOUR "BIG" HOUSE THAT COULD COME-TO-PASS IN A DOLLHOUSE?

Your doll house and items are wonderful!!! That is sure one way to get your dreams met.
Let's see - in my house I want a large kitchen and a great room. I just think the openness of it would be so free feeling.
I love your doll house.

Hi Susan,
Wonderful little bed! I know what you mean about having dream furniture in the dollhouse that you can't have in your big house. I have a full tester bed in the dollhouse that I can't have in my house due to not having tall enough ceilings! What I love most is that I don't have to have a TV, computer or any other modern stuff in my dollhouse! Love it!
Have a great weekend.

Susan,
What a cute post, and I love the little canopy bed. The girls used to have a doll house when they were little, but I ended up giving it away when they got older, and I really wish I hadn't. Oh well, live and learn.
Love,

I'd like to remodel my bathrooms and kitchen...all new appliances, fixtures, etc. Can that come true in a doll house? I wonder. I don't own a doll house but I can still dream.Love your four poster bed.
...Hello Susan... I love the new dollhouse bed... very elegant. I've always liked yards with trees in them but we have one plum tree and a half of one of next door's trees... that's it ... our yard is so tiny.. So ..I have Bonsai trees instead....
..Perfect..
Hugs and Blessings...

How beautiful! So happy you found your special bed...even if it didn't make it to your room. :) At least, you can see it here and dream. I enjoyed stopping to visit you today. Love, Cheryl
I'll bet every time you gaze at it, you imagine yourself crawling into this little gem.
Your dollhouse reminds me of the one my mother and her father made together. He built the dollhouse, with some help from me on bricks, and my mother bought a miniature lathe to make the furniture. I would say, I'd love to have a Hoozier cupboard for my home, but it would probably have to be one for a dollhouse:-D XOXO
How wonderful...a place for an alternate life. That is what my writing is to me, a place to do and have what I can't in "real" life. Enjoy!
Sweet! I ♥ it.
I totally delight in your doll house too! The furnishings are all so beautiful and I love when you share it in your posts!
I'm a big doll house fan, but don't have one of my own.
When my late husband and I were looking for bedroom furniture, I spotted a gorgeous canopy bed in dark wood. It was too expensive, but soon after the store moved to a new location and had to get rid of its inventory.
We not only got the bed, but the matching dressers and nightstands for a fraction of the original price.
Susan,
Love the bed. I think I have the same one!!!
The one thing that I can have in my doll house but not in my real house is not having a Kitchen in the doll house!!!
LOL!!
I love to decorate my kitchen but I really HATE to cook!!!
And fireplaces... I have 3 fireplaces in the doll house and none in my real house!
Thanks so much for stopping by!!
Hugs,
Deb
