Bountiful Bunnies

What is it about bunnies that makes them irresistible?

While living bunnies are darling, I'm actually referring to the stuffed variety here.

Throughout the warmer months, when yard sales proliferate like bunnies,  you know where you can find me and it's hopping down the yard sale trail!

It's absolutely amazing how many bunnies can be found off-season, isn't it?

Now that I'm very discerning about what items come home with me, only the most adorable bunnies will be found in my car. ha!

Almost all of the bunnies shown in this post were yard and thrift store finds.

Some cost as little as 25 cents!

There's even a wind-up musical bunny (shown below)  that plays "Here  Comes Peter Cottontail."

So nowadays, the bountiful bunnies are coming out from storage in the attic, little by little, in preparation for Easter and spring!

It's easy to decorate without spending a dime when you have barrels worth of bunnies stashed in plastic boxes in storage!

Today we are joining Thrifty Things Friday on Diann's blog, The Thrifty Groove and co-hosted by Linda at A La Carte.

Why not stop by their blogs and say "hello?"

WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT BUNNIES?

Well one year I bought my grandson a bunny whose ears clapped together and it played and sang " If You're Happy and You Know It Clap your Hands" and since my grandson was in preschool at that time he knew the song and that bunny was a very BIG HIT. You've got a wonderful collection for Easter!

Hi Susan,

Such cute finds!! My favourite is the Peter Rabbit bunny. Reminds me of reading Beatrix Potter to my children when they were much younger.

Blessings for a wonderful weekend,
Dotti :)

You have a great collection of bunnies there! I wonder do you find when you have stored them away that there are even more when you unpack again? Ha! You know what they say about bunnies! :) Ha! Best wishes, Tammy

There is just something about bunnies that makes me smile. My youngest daughter Sara collected bunnies as a young girl and had quite the collection. I still have some of the ceramic one's but most of the stuffed one's have been donated. Maybe you found one of those? :) Thanks for sharing your sweet collection at TTF!
hugs, Linda

I have two adorable bunnies - one is a ballerina and one is a delicate pink little girl bunny.

And to me when I see these bunnies - I feel loved.

They are all adorable Susan! And you know I totally agree with you about finding things like this at thrift stores or yard sales for pennies and using them when you want. Thank you for sharing at TTF.
