Edible Art

This time of year, the harvest of fresh fruits and veggies is divine.

At a roadside stand, I picked up plenty of fresh tomatoes-----big ones, small, sweet little ones and even a container of orange ones that were delectable.

Tomatoes are delicious mixed with chick peas , lemon juice and olive oil and a dusting of salt and pepper. Simple and yummified.

Or, they are very tasty with some real mayo and chopped onions, too.

Placed on a cobalt blue  platter, they are bringing an artistic touch to the kitchen counter!

HOW DO YOU LIKE TO FIX TOMATOES?

Well my favorite way is in a Bacon, Lettuce, and Tomato Sandwich with Mayo and whole wheat toast. I just had one today...so yummy! I just LOVE tomatoes off the vine! I do not refrigerate them either.

Slice and eat them with everything! Our garden has given up the ghost. No more garden fresh tomatoes. I will miss them.

Hello from Spain: I really like tomatoes. I eat tomatoes almost every day. I make salad of tomatoes and vegetables. I really like this food for the summer. Fresh and light food. Keep in touch

I have to be honest here - I love tomatoes in any way, shape, or form! Those look so pretty.

Funny thing about tomatoes and me...I am not a tomato fan, but when I was pregnant with my son I craved them and couldn't get enough. After a few months, I went back to my "old self" and did not want them again :)

Your pictures are lovely and make me want to pop one into my mouth.

Enjoy your day! Hugs!
