Little by little, Valentine's Day decor is coming down and Easter touches are taking their place. As many of you know, around here there are boxes and plastic bins of decorations up in the attic for every holiday .
It's not an easy climb to those chilly innards of the third floor attic since there are two flights of stairs to go up to get there. However, it's a blessing to not have to lower a ladder from the ceiling as some attics are designed. On the front door, a grapevine wreath with purple and lavender flowers takes the place of the heart-shaped, rose-covered Day of Love wreath. The kitchen wooden knick knack rack has more than 40 cubbies and it was fun filling them with all kinds of Easter doodads.
Not a single space is left! (Compulsive collector? Who said that? Who? hee hee)
The little fellow to the left is actually a music box that plays "Easter Parade"----you know, the song that starts out "In your Easter bonnet, with all the frills upon it..." This exchange of decor takes quite a few days but who cares?
There is no rush. The Easter parade is quite a few weeks away.
