Condolences to The Families of the Latest Shooting Victims

Once again, many Americans feel sorrow and devastation over the latest round of senseless killings, this time in San Bernardino, California.

We weep for their grieving families.

We all lament how tragic such killings are.

We shake our heads and go tsk tsk tsk but nothing changes.

It was only three years ago that a black cloud fell on Christmas festivities when a mad gunman murdered 20 small and innocent school children in Connecticut.

Now, again in December, the month Christmas is celebrated, people have died again, shot down in cold blood.

Who needs assault rifles if they are not fighting enemies in a war?

When is the madness going to end?

How can anyone make sense of such horror?

There are no answers today, only tears for the victims and their families.

WHAT DO YOU THINK SHOULD BE DONE ABOUT THE SENSELESS SHOOTINGS PLAGUING OUR BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY?

A good friend here is from that area and she sent me the news about it this morning. It's terrible and there is no way to make sense of it. What bothers me is that the media is so ready to release the Arab sounding name right away. No matter what happens, there's always an angle and people play into the game of words. I wonder when it was that someone decided the only news is bad news. There really is so much good that happens in this world and yet people keep getting drawn into the evil, negative side of it. Exactly why I stopped listening to, watching and reading the news many years ago.

My heart aches for everyone involved in this tragic event! There has to be someway to show people how to deal with their anger rather than shooting others!

There are no words...just prayers!

Nothing every changes. Nothing was ever done after all those innocent children were shot in CT. In my state gun laws are loosened. In Texas open carry begins on January 1st. The state legislature approved guns on college campuses too in spite of the objection of most administrators, parents, students, and police. Private schools can opt out, but not state schools. My prayers is for people to get totally fed up. Then something might change, but I don't see it happening any time soon.

Yes -- I wrote a bit about this, too, but really can't bring myself to go into depth about my feelings on the insane gun culture in America. I think America has lost its soul. The NRA is funding all of this madness and in my view, they are a terrorist organisation, profiting from other people's misery.

My sister lives out there. She told me a lot about it - it was incredibly sad. What is wrong with people? Prayers for the families.

America has lost her heart... and until that changes, somehow... I fear things will continue to get worse. Yes, guns can be dangerous in the wrong hands... as can knives, bombs, vehicles, the list goes on and on. I only hope as a nation that we understand that eliminating any particular "thing" is not going to fix the problem in the souls of those who wish to do harm.

Love and light to all...
