Hello to September

Cool air has arrived, along with a new month, and both are cause for celebration.

The hot, thick, sticky weather with high temps pulls down the spirit.

Cool air, on the other hand, helps a person feel rejuvenated and more energetic.

The window box flowers look full and lovely.

The vinca vines planted in the center of the boxes are hanging way down.

The round garden in the front yard, with the angel in the middle, looks bright and colorful.

The pansies, however, in three pots, are spindly and sad looking. They need to be replaced soon, perhaps with mums.

This is a long weekend in the USA as we celebrate Labor Day.

Wishing each of you peace in your little corner of the world and reasons to smile!

My flowers are suffering also. Too much rain, too hot, then a cool spell. They don't know what to do. Soon mums will take over the yard. Enjoy your holiday.

Your red flowers really stand out against the white window box. So charming, Susan. It was a long and fun Labor Day weekend. I got to spend time with Francesca!
