Life Is Like a Tree

Life is like a tree.

It has its seasons. Some are stark and stripped of abundance.

Others are alive with hope and beauty.

Thousands of buds appear on formerly bare branches and they burst into healthy green leaves.

Life is good again.

We love this kind of season.

Of course, in autumn, leaves turn into splendorous colors and make everything exquisitely beautiful.

In this season, it is so good to be alive.

Then comes yet another harsh winter and the days, as well as life, get shorter and closer to the end.

It's nice to think about being like a mighty oak, standing tall and regal, despite the storms it has weathered.

Perhaps, by this stage, its trunk is bent but it still stands----a testimony to a life well-lived.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT TREES AND WHICH IS YOUR FAVORITE?

Well Susan trees live a lot longer than humans. Some are thousands of years old...now I would NOT like to live that long...ha ha ha. My favorite tree is an orange tree...such wonderful smelling blossoms and delicious fruit.

My favorite trees are cedar trees - they are so incredibly unique. I have a tree here I love that has to be over 250 years old and I bet saw the Civil War - in Kennesaw! Truly.

That is a nice comparison of us, Susan, being like a mighty oak, standing tall and regal, despite the storms it has weathered. I've always loved the trees, and aren't they so pretty when Autumn comes around? I truly love your post today and your words. You're such a dear one.
