Part of the joy at Christmas time is visiting with friends and family and seeing their decorated houses. No matter how many homes are visited, I never get sick of seeing how people decorate.
It's so much fun to see the different styles. Some prefer minimalist decor while others (like me) go wild with lots of different decorations.
Some people love using lots of color and others opt for plain but beautiful transparent glass decorations. There are traditionalists and those who prefer modern styles.
Recently, I was lucky to go to the homes of a couple of lovely ladies and both agreed to let me show their homes on my blog!
The first home, all photos shown, above, is an older home and the owner loves antiques and touches of elegance. She is a master decorator!
This second home is huge and very beautiful. The Christmas tree is real, by the way, and could be featured on the cover of a magazine.
Hope you enjoyed this mini-tour of two lovely New England homes!
Many thanks to the owners of the homes shown for letting us have a peek at your lovely holiday decor.
DO YOU EVER GO ON HOLIDAY HOME TOURS?

A holiday home tour is on my list of things to do. I say every year I will do it, but funny how other things get in the way. I enjoyed your tour.
Some lovely things here...always fun to see what others choose even if vastly different from our own...but above, time shared is the real beauty. Sounds like you had both!
Hi Susan
Watching White Christmas and visiting friends what could be better for me? Love that crystal clear tree village - so pretty. And the other home is just as inviting.
Hope that you are enjoying the season!

Both homes are lovely! I always enjoy a peek into someone else's home, especially at Christmas.

Ahhh ,susan, those were wicked fun tours.
Both of these homes are gorgeous!
I loved every single photo! BE-U-TI-FUL! Thanks for always sharing lovely homes, shops, towns, etc. with us, Susan! And especially, your OWN lovely home and decor!
Oh, I've never gone on a Christmas House Tour either, but I'm like Dayle, always wanting to!
I've only been on open house tours when I was looking to buy a home. The decorations and things are so pretty. I'd love to tour these two houses myself. Thanks for your photos.
Hello,
I visited your blog today - I saw you on 'One Heart At Home.' Your blog is so pretty and charming. While I was scrolling down, I noticed all the Santas - how wonderful! I loved the tea cup also. Me and my daughters have been taking time out for a cup of tea each day. We started a blog, and we would love it if you could visit us and follow. I would enjoy coming back to visit with you. Your blog is filled with beauty, and you have many creative ideas. I hope to hear from you, and have a sweet day.
