Help Available For-The-Asking

There are times in life when things look dark.

Deep disappointments, deaths of dear ones, and seemingly insurmountable problems can all shake us to the core of our beings.

It's at such times that a simple saying usually gets me through.

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

That's always very comforting because it means I don't have to rely on my own power to do anything!

God is in charge.

He is the Creator of the Universe so He can make all things right with the flick of His hand.

All I have to do is ask for His help and it's mine.

Just as we listen intently to our own children, our Heavenly Father listens to us.

We, after all, are His children, no matter how old we are!

All we have to do is ask for His help and He generously and lovingly gives it.

Today we are joining Think on These Things from Lorraine's beloved blog, With a Grateful Prayer and a Thankful Heart.

ARE YOU RELUCTANT TO ASK FOR HELP WHEN YOU HAVE A PROBLEM?

Sometimes it's easy to forget where our strength lies. Thanks for the reminder.

Sometimes we need reminding that God doesn't need our help and he can't fix it if we don't let go. Have a great week.

I can always used the reminder the God is my strength in all things. I can easily become overwhelmed and need to renew my thinking with truths such a s this verse.

Your framed version is lovely and as, always, your posts are a great blessing to me to have you share on Think on These Things. :)

Hi Susan -

He's the first one I run to when trouble hits. I'm glad He's never too tired, too busy, or not in the mood to help. :)

Blessings,
Susan

I was meditating on that exact Scripture this week, Susan. It has helped me over many hard places in life.
