Bright colors or muted plain, which is your preference?
Mine is bright colors, the brighter the better.
So a little brown birdie house is now a colorful abode!
Acrylic paints provided the pizazz.
The birdhouse joined a few others on a bench in the backyard.
I'm happy with the results.
There are a couple of little ones on the bench, too. I started out
painting those to see how they looked in color.
There's still an identical house ready to be painted.
Why have plain when you can have a burst of color for the backyard? Fun, fun, fun.
Hope the birdies like it, too!
DO YOU FEED BIRDS?

Charming! Clever on your part!
You are so talented to be able to think ahead about the colors! I LOVE BRIGHT TOO!
Love the bright colors on the birdhouses; maybe they will attract the hummingbirds!
We do have a lot of birds around here, but don't feed them per se. They have a lot to choose from at this time of year. We have a lot of berry bushes that grow wild and I see the birds eating the berries. I may have seen a Scarlet Tanninger a few days ago! Have to google it as my bird identification skills are minimal. I rely on knowledge gained many years ago, when Mr. Sanborn came to our little school and presented a weekly nature hour. Do you remember that?
Oh Susan
Your birdhouses came out just great. I love the bright colors. I do not feed the birds in my yard. There is plenty of food for them in just the bushes and trees and plants..I used to have a bird feeder but got rodents to eat from it so I removed it...I see tons of birds, butterflies and bunnies in my yard on a daily basis.
That's the cutest little birdhouse ever. Yes, I love the bright colors you used. It looks like a fairy birdhouse. I don't have any bird feeders in my back yard, and I usually just let the birds come straight to me. It's magical to me, and I feel very blessed.
