Post Holiday Lunch at the Lovely Red Lion Inn

The Red Lion Inn  in Western Massachusetts is a quintessential New England dining and lodging establishment.

It draws tourists from all around the world but many people from Western Massachusetts go there, too.

It's a lovely old inn and I love going there but don't do it too often as it's not inexpensive.

Look at these lovely curtains and the tieback!

They are so old-fashioned looking and beautiful.

The day a friend and I went, my lunch was one of their grass-fed burgers that was just luscious.

The onions got ditched and the fries were shared.

My dining partner had a cup of clam chowder (New England style, of course) and a half turkey sandwich with cranberry mayo. Mm mm mm

My friend had vanilla ice-cream balls rolled in pecans and served with chocolate swirls and whipped cream. (I had a few bites since the waitress brought an extra spoon. hee hee)

We both had iced tea.

Fresh flowers on each table is a nice touch, especially in the dead of winter.

Hope you enjoyed this mini peek of the Red Lion Inn.

DO YOU LOVE TO GO TO COUNTRY INNS?

What incredibly delicious looking plates! (I would have asked to have your onions if I had been along.) And that ice-cream dessert....how amazing! No inns close to me that I know of...

Hi Susan!

I absolutely love all vintage style! I have never been to a country inn, but I am sure I would have loved visiting one some day :)
Hugs!
