Gratitude Works

The instant a negative thought tries to park itself in my brain, there is an immediate solution.

All that has to be done to whisk the negativity out the door is to think of something for which to be grateful.

* A new day of precious life
* Flowers blooming in the winter
* Frost on the window panes
* Delicious strong coffee in the morning
* The sound of grandchildren laughing
* A clean house
* Something good cooking in the oven
* Hot water to shower in and cold water to drink
* Being able to see
* Being able to hear
* Being able to taste
* Being able to touch
* Being able to walk

You get the idea.

 It works every time.

I loved something heard the other day. Someone said don't look at the glass as half full or half empty.

Instead, be grateful you have a glass.

WHAT DO YOU DO THAT IS A SURE CURE TO CHASE AWAY THE BLUES?

Sing sing sing sing everybody start to sing. La de da la de da...now you're singing with a swing. That's one way to feel good. I'm grateful for each day also especially as I get older. Each day is a gift from the Lord. Be thankful for it.

Oh, I would love to look outside, and see the ice on my window, how pretty. Yes, delicious strong coffee in the morning, something to be grateful for, right? And hot water to shower....sometimes it feels like it's washing all the troubles away. ; ) I love that little tea pot. I appreciate all the goodness you exude each and every day, Susan.

There is definitely always something to be grateful for in each and every single day. I feel guilty when I complain about anything as I know so many people are suffering. But then again, we are human, and our emotions do take over at times. We just have to let go and keep moving forward with passion and positivity.
