For the Love of Stained Glass

Stained glass pieces add so much loveliness to a home's decor.

They are  extremely appealing and usually rich in color.

We have a newly enclosed side porch that I've shared with you before.

Adding to the pleasant decor are three pieces of stained glass.

The story of the stained glass piece, shown at the top of this post,  can be read here, if you are interested.

I purchased this long piece at an art sale in Dana Point, California.

Being the work of an artist, as well as a souvenir of one of my California trips,  made the more than thrift store  price worth it to me.

This little angelic number cost less than $10!  Can you imagine that?

I found it in a Big Lots store  several years ago.

Looking at the three  pieces of stained glass when I'm on the bright and sunny porch makes me happy and you can't put a price tag on that!

I'm also adding a photo of the pretty birdcage.

Another post on it appeared here.

Joining Thrifty Things Friday from Diann's blog, The Thrifty Groove. Also, from Linda's blog, A La Carte.

DO YOU HAVE ANY STAINED GLASS PIECES IN YOUR HOME DECOR?

Sadly the only stained piece of glass I have is a suncatcher from Ireland of a harp. It shines in my dining room window. Love all of yours. I remember that piece from Dana Point.

My BIL and SIL used to make stained glass. It is not easy! And it's expensive, but it is beautiful. Especially when the sun is shining through it. Very pretty. I know your home must be so pretty.

I love your Stain Glass pieces. I do have a couple of pretty glass. One is a bird in a tree limb and the other is a red and yellow floral pattern a friend of the family made for me.

You have beautiful pieces, Susan. Love how they reflect light. I don't have any stained-glass, but am always admiring it.

My front windows are stained glass and my high side window, I think that is the reason why I like my home so much.
